ASP.NET / C# Developer based in our Southampton office (£24-30k)

What we are looking for

We are looking for a developer who has a passion for technology and software development and is a keen team player to join our small dynamic development team and enhance our digital delivery platform. The right candidate would be passionate, self motivated, a technology enthusiast.

Required skills and knowledge

• Intermediate to advanced level experience of ASP.NET
• Intermediate to advanced level experience of the .NET Framework (Versions 2 – 4)
• Intermediate to advanced level experience using SQL Server, Stored Procedures and T-SQL
• Basic to intermediate level knowledge of ASP.NET MVC
• Basic to intermediate level knowledge of Java Script, including frameworks such as ExtJS and jQuery and the use of AJAX.
• Experience in developing and consuming Web services (SOAP and REST)

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience in using Visual Studio Team System or other source control applications
• Developing and maintaining standards compliant websites using HTML and CSS
• Working experience of Microsoft Internet Information Server
• Experience of automated unit testing tools such as nUnit
• Basic image editing
• Some level of Flash Action scripting (AS3 preferred)
• Some experience of video encoding / transcoding
• Some experience of server management
