12/11/08 - Octopus in Brazil

Andrew Eborn, Founder & President of Octopus Media Technology, will participate in UKTI Sports Seminar Mission to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro from 10-14 November, focussing on the business opportunities arising from Brazil hosting the Soccer World Cup 2014 and Rio's bid for the 2016 Olympic Games.

08/08/08 OctopusMT & the LDA launch new website www.L2B2008.com with UGC video support messages for Team GB in Beijing

Octopus Media Technology in association with the London Development Agency are proud to announce the launch of www.L2B2008.com, an exciting showcase of online video technology to support Team GB in Beijing.  Anyone can record and upload video messages for a favourite athlete, sport or a general message to cheer on Team GB.  The website aims to spread passion and excitement for the Beijing 2008 Olympics, encouraging the public to support the 313 athletes representing Great Britain. 

The website, sponsored by BT, also aims to provide a bridge between Beijing Olympics 2008 and our own London Olympics in 2012.  Messages will be available to view online and played out for the world to see at London House, the London Development Agency's base to promote London business in Beijing.

June 2008 Passport to Export Awards 2008

On the 24th June the team at Octopus was presented with the award for exceptional success in overseas markets arising from the best use of UK Trade and Investment Services. The Award was presented at the black tie Passport to Export Awards at Church House, Westminster hosted by writer and broadcaster Hardeep Singh Kohli. Guest speakers included Tim Parker, the newly appointed First Deputy Mayor and Chief Executive of the GLA Group.

June 2008 Mission to Vancouver

Following the success of his visit last year, Andrew Eborn, Founder & President of Octopus Media Technology, has been invited to Vancouver on a mission with The Rt Hon Tessa Jowell MP, Minister for the Olympics and London. During the visit Andrew will meet with key businesses to establish further strategic alliances and long term partnerships with the 2010 Winter Olympic Games and London 2012 as the catalyst.

June 2008 Octopus at SportAccord

Andrew Eborn, President and Founder of Octopus Media Technology will participate in SportAccord, the annual international sports convention, which brings representatives from the 100 International Sports Federations affiliated to GAISF (General Association of International Sports Federations), ASOIF (Association of Summer Olympic International Federations) and AIOWF (Association of the
International Olympic Winter Sports Federations), as well as the International Olympic Committee Executive Board, together with sponsors, bidding and host cities, architects, broadcasters, games organising committees, rights holders and other specialists to discuss the key issues facing the sports industry.

January 2008 Octopus to visit Moscow, Sochi , Krasnodar

In February President and founder of Octopus, Andrew Eborn, will visit Moscow, Sochi and Krasnodar to develop strategic partnerships with leading Russian companies including with the 2014 Winter Olympics as a catalyst.
